The GREEF NEW ENERGY GDG series is a disc-type permanent magnet generator featuring an innovative iron core-free design. This generator employs a stacked disc configuration where the spindle and rotor are arranged with the stator fixed at the center and the rotor rotating on both sides. The spindle contains only windings without any iron core.

Both stator and rotor are constructed as flat disc structures utilizing axial air gap magnetic flux, alternately positioned along the axial direction. The generator's short axial length combined with its large diameter enables a multi-pole design, resulting in a high power-to-mass ratio and efficient low-speed operation.

The GDG series offers significant advantages including low startup wind speed, compact size, minimal energy consumption, lightweight construction, and high efficiency. Its robust structure makes it ideal for direct-drive vertical axis wind turbines, where the rotor placement minimizes wind resistance.
